The Main assignments and activities of this centralized facility are to centralized facility are to:
  •  Provide, manage and ensure the satisfactory operation of joint computer and software facilities for the students and departments that require these facilities.
  •  Provide technical assistance to various users.
  •  Ensure the monitoring of the computer network at the institute, and the coordination of inter-connections and the management of overall computer facilities for the whole institute.
  •  Provide computer facilities for the institute administration.
  •  Conduct various workshops for all departments.
  • Provide computing facility for conducting IBPS exams for banking sector and also conduct competitive exams such as GATE, CAT etc.
  •  Provide huge network infrastructure for TCS, MKCL and other organisations to conduct online exams.

For conducting these tasks satisfactorily, computer centre make use of a wide range of computer facilities. The institute has chosen a system based on work stations under Sun Solaris , Windows, Linux, which provide the interconnection and exchange of data between the various systems and enable us to provide our users with working environments adapted to their requirements and the students with tools reflecting the standards.

Hardware and Software:
Computer Center 02 HP Servers Powered on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0/5.0 Enterprise Server, Microsoft Windows 2003 Server and Fedora.

The various software’s, catering to the needs of the students such as Oracle 10g, Visual Basic, .Net, Visual C++, C++, Prolog , Ms Office etc are installed on the machines.

10 Sun Spark Workstations and 100 No’s High end DELL 64-bit machines, P V Duo Core and other infrastructure such as High end printers. MSDN alliance for 3 years with Microsoft.
