After completing all the formalities of admission, you are ready to join the institute. On your first day in the institute, you will be addressed by the Principal and introduced to FE faculty. Then you will have a tour of the Institute, showing you the location of your class rooms where your theory lectures will be conducted and laboratories where your practicals will be conducted, along with the various facilities available in the campus.

Note down the class time table of your Class/Division displayed on the notice board. The same has also been posted on the institute website www.agpit.edu.in. Know about the college working times.

• Get the uniform cloth from the stores and get the college uniform stitched from the tailor.
  
• Get the stationary required for the submission of the term work.
•  Enroll for the ID cum Library card.
•  Know the disciplinary rules of the Institute. Note down the mobile numbers of your Mentor, HOD, Principal for necessary help in emergency.
•  Wearing the college Uniform and ID card is compulsory in the college campus, or else penal action will be taken against you.
•  Attend the theory lectures and practicals as per the time table. The attendance in theory lectures for each subject must be minimum 75% or above and for practical 100% for the term to be granted. If you fail to maintain this attendance, your term is likely to be cancelled.
•  Be attentive in the class. Be in time for the lectures and practicals, or else you will be punished by the concerned faculty. In case of any doubt, ask relevant questions to clarify your doubt.
  
• In the college campus, switch off the mobiles. If it is found to be ON, it will be confiscated immediately.
• Complete the home assignments given to you in time. It is expected that every student must write their own answers to the questions given as home assignments.
•  Get the experiments performed during practical checked in time.
• At the end of the semester, get your term work certified by the concerned faculty, HOD and the Principal. The certified journals must be submitted to the concerned faculty before the due date informed to you.
•  Always observe the notice boards for the necessary instructions and latest information.
•  Taking common off is injurious to your academic health. It may lead to academic loss as well as punishment.
•  Take prior permission of your HOD for remaining absent for the class, in case of unavoidable circumstances. The format of leave application is available in your department or with your mentor.
•  Letter from the parent is absolutely necessary in case of prolonged absentee. In case of absentee due to medical reasons, Medical Practioner’s certificate to that effect along with fitness certificate is a must.
•  Be aware of the provisions of the Anti Ragging act. In case of ragging or harassment by senior students, inform to the Head of your Department or Institution as well as to your parents / guardian immediately either in person or telephonically. Those found guilty of ragging within or outside the college campus will be punished as per laws.
•  Eve teasing is strictly prohibited within and outside the college campus. If anybody is found guilty of such act, he will be punished as per laws.
•  Along with studies, participate in the various students’ activities, outdoor and indoor sports, technical quizzes and paper presentations organized by our institute as well as other institutes.
• Look for the opportunities in the difficulties, not the difficulties in the opportunities.

Troubles are like washing machine, They twist, turn & knock us around, but in the end we come out brighter than before.

Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.
